Macchiato

Caffé macchiato, sometimes called espresso macchiato, is a drink that contains coffee and a small amount of milk. "Macchiato" means "marked" or "stained", and in the case of macchiato coffee, this literally means stained / milk-marked espresso. Traditionally, it is made from an espresso and a small amount of milk. However, later the "marking" or "stain" came to refer to the milk foam that was placed on top to show that the drink has a little milk in it, usually a teaspoon. In fact, macchiato coffee in Portuguese is called "cafe pingado" which means coffee with a drop of milk.

In Italy, macchiato is prepared in a small glass in which a high-consistency milk foam is poured and then a dose of espresso is drained through the center of the foam. The reason this drink got its name is because the bartenders needed to show the waiters the difference between the classic espresso and the one with a little milk in it.


We are often confused with these two types of coffees because they both share the same name. We could talk about the false friends of coffee.

Macchiato means spotted in Italian, but both are completely opposite.

A macchiato is an espresso with a pinch of milk, while a spotted one is the opposite, a glass of milk with a pinch of coffee.

A spot is equivalent to one stained milk and in some areas of Spain you can find it as stained milk a tear.

Mix it with the ground hazelnuts, cocoa and baking powder, then incorporate them into the egg mixture and add 3 tablespoons of milk. The composition is obtained by placing a chicken in a round cake form, greased with butter, leveling and baking for about 15 minutes, over medium heat (200 degrees Celsius).
Then the countertop will cool down. Put the gelatin soaked in a bowl of water. Chocolate cream melts on a steam bath. Mix the cheese with the rest of the milk, the remaining sugar and the melted cream. Squeeze the gelatin, dissolve it on the fire and pour it into the cream, then mix well.
Take 200 ml of the powder and apply it to the composition, then add it to the composition. Combine half of the amount of cream with instant coffee, grease the countertop for 15 minutes in the cold.
Then spread the rest of the cream on top and put the cake back in the cold for an hour. Fry the hazelnuts in a large frying pan, set aside to cool, then grind them gently. Put the rest of the cream in the frying pan, get it over the cake and sprinkle it over the hazelnuts.

Discovering The Caramel Latte

Caramel milk

The caramel latte is another well-loved drink. And while some may confuse it with the stained caramel, it's much simpler to make. This drink is sweetened with caramel syrup.

Once the syrup is added, you simply need to add your shots, pour steamed milk and milk foam on top. This helps create a pleasant coffee-caramel taste throughout the drink.

Much like with the caramel macchiato, you can try countless variations on this drink. Caramel is a flavor that agrees with dairy and non-dairy milk, although it goes especially well with the light, sweet flavor of coconut milk. And if you want a drink that & # 39s a little sweeter, you can even add caramel drizzle or even whipped cream to the top.

For an especially decadent treat, try adding the whipped cream to the bottom of the cup – the shots and warm milk will blend it in so you can taste it with every sip. And while it changes the drink from being a caramel latte to a combination of flavors, adding some vanilla or hazelnut syrup can create some variety.

This drink can also be made iced. If you're making a large drink, you may want to add an extra shot of espresso. Most coffee shops will do this. This is because the melting ice can create a watery taste, and the extra espresso keeps your drink from tasting watered down.

Latte & # 8212 also referred to as Caffe Latte, which is an Italian term that means & # 8220milk coffee & # 8221 & # 8212 is all about having a smooth, silky microfoam.

The texture of the foam on a latte is very important and is what gives this coffee drink its distinct look and mouthfeel. This is slightly different than the latte macchiato which tends to be more espresso dominant.

Another difference between a latte vs macchiato is a bit of aesthetic flair. Lattes are well known for having art carefully swirled into the foam on top of them, but as long as a drink has the following ratio of milk to coffee, it can rightfully be called a latte:

A macchiato is all about the perfect balance between steamed milk and espresso coffee. The coffee is made up of 50% espresso and 50% steamed milk. It is also a considerably less amount of total coffee you get compared to a latte.

To make the macchiato at home, you’ll need the following items:

  1. Grab a small cup that will fit the coffee perfectly.
