Marzipan biscuit roll

I've always been reluctant to make trivial and unappetizing dishes, and when I still had to make them, I didn't feel like I had to brag about them. When I was little and the only dessert I knew was pudding (from pudding powder to an obvious envelope), I always made two types and cooled them in layers in a round cake shape. Then I turned it over and it looked like a cake. It was bestial. It tasted like cake to me, too. For some time now I've been bumping into some biscuits lying in my closet and I didn't know what to do with them. The idea of biscuit salami never really smiled on me, because it always reminds me of those dry and made biscuits from Ceausescu's time. They were sold by the pound and had no taste. Brrr. But if I call it roll and add some marzipan in the middle, I can make a decent dessert out of those cookies, I thought.

  • 700 g biscuits
  • 300 ml milk
  • 200 g butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 2 tablespoons rum
  • 4 tablespoons cocoa
  • 150 g ground walnuts
  • 200 g marzipan
  • Optional raisins or candied fruit

Crush the biscuits, not very small if you want to see the pieces of biscuits & icircn roll.

& Icircntr a bowl, put the butter and milk on the fire to melt. When the butter has melted, add the cocoa and vanilla and mix until smooth. Allow the composition to cool.

In a large bowl, mix the crushed biscuits with the walnuts and begin to add the liquid composition until the amount of biscuits is incorporated. At the end, add the rum to taste.

The marzipan is shaped into a stick, and rolled together with the composition of the biscuits. Put the roll in a food foil and leave it to cool for a few hours. Simple right?
